Sarah Glad joined the Pope Foundation in June 2021. As a program officer, she is involved in many areas of the foundation’s giving including public interest law and legal studies, higher education, and human services. Before joining the Foundation, Sarah served under North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory, Treasurer Dale Folwell, and state senator Chuck Edwards in public affairs and policy roles. Sarah also helped launch North Carolina’s first and only statewide newspaper, North State Journal, as communications director. She is a 2020-2021 E.A. Morris Fellow at the John Locke Foundation. A High Point native, Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in liberal studies from NC State University. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Robbie, and their dog, Shep.
