David M. Stover, Member of the Board of Directors
David Stover joined the John William Pope Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2006. He brings a wealth of business and government knowledge to the foundation having served both sectors in leadership roles. He is a current member of the board of directors for Variety Wholesalers, has been a senior marketing representative for Xerox Corporation, and assistant secretary at the N.C. Department of Commerce. Additionally, Stover served on the Governor’s Small Business Council and on the N.C. Economic Future Commission.
Currently, Stover sits on the board of directors for Golden LEAF Foundation as an appointee by Governor Pat McCrory. He also serves on Asheville School’s board of trustees, the board of directors for the John Locke Foundation (since 1989) and The Fund for America Studies. He is a life-long conservative with a commitment to free-market principles.
