David M. Stover, At Large
Former Executive Vice President of Maupin Travel in Raleigh. His past positions include Director of Marketing for York Construction Company, Assistant Secretary at the N.C. Department of Commerce, Marketing Research Manager at Northern Telecom, and Senior Marketing Representative at Xerox Corporation. He also worked in corporate affairs at R.J. Reynolds Industries.
David graduated from Wake Forest University with an M.B.A. and the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Business. With the help of a Barry Goldwater Scholarship, he attended Georgetown University and earned a Certificate of Completion.
David has been on the John William Pope Foundation Board of Directors since 2006 and on the John Locke Foundation board since 1989. He served on the Governor’s Small Business Council and on the N.C. Economic Future Commission. Currently, David is a Governor Appointee to the Golden LEAF Foundation Board of Directors. He is a life-long conservative with a commitment to free-market principles.
